Disco tuna to entertain ur run Under heavy deep forest. Dynamic and stuffy. Will burn u out before u may start the run. Better listen to it at the end of ur trip so u cant explode during the course. Good job. Maybe a bit BuzzeY. It may take ur foot upper to go faster !! Well done ! The guitar part will upload u upon the Hills ! and the upper level ! Cover of known song at 3:15. And popcornish then.

One of the best songs in my opinion, but also disco comes to mind here, at least in the beginning, and not so much running (but it picks up eventually) But i really liked anyway. Great guitar part, and groovy and Jamiroquai-ish in parts (which is a big plus in my eyes) .. And a little out-run (nice reference)

Sounds finnish. Very nice! I would not run to it, but I bet a lot of people would. Love the "on the beach" / "sunny day" / "life is good" touch. Mastering is so much better than usual. At 2:20 the tool of Satan (the guitar) enters and the tune is pretty much over for my part ;) This tune has a high probability of winning though. The string part just before 1:00 is lovely and makes me think this tune is not far from having a lot of stuff needed for a commercial hit. Oh! Copporn inside and Outrun! Buzzer / Yzi?

Running along a beach or something? or a road along a beach? I dunno. :) I get happy vibes. An outrun reference at the end. :)

Good sounds and different parts, keeping it interesting... at first, but then it just repeated almost the same a second time. Towards the end there was progression again, but it kind of ended without exploiting all the potential. Cut away the middle third, and continue the progression with more power.

Drums sustains thy foot running along the hot road to California. Lancinant drama melody is quite fitting the running monotony. Nice tuna. Relcaculating the equalizer datas and it will fit better.

Sounds like adlib snare :D I don't feel the energy and urgenc. More like a laid-back half-mysterious track. With better instrumentation, mix and some vocals this could easily be a S.P.O.C.K-track which is a band I really like. Not bad at all!

Volume a tad low. Hope you like it arra and pere, 'cause I have started to hate it :D I think it has too little punch for most people, also maybe a minute too long and it has some annoying sounds. Good start shino, but could easily favor from being more hard hitting. not too much happening the first 1.5 minutes. Around 2 minutes it gets some soul. Overall it's good, but somewhat uninspired. Nevertheless, it is one of the best in the compo.

Nice Amiga stuffie tune. But could fit to another compo. Even if its quite fitting to running due to the melody. Love to run with this song.

Doesn't really strike me as a running, action-packed track. But it's certainly nice arpeggios, melodies and instruments. I love SID, or is this AHX? ;) One star deduced cause it doesn't really remind me of a running track and the remix part, but the song itself is FANTASTIC tho. So 5* in other cases.

It is actually possible to reach some sort of running feeling with chipsounds, for instance "Summer Olympiad" by Wally Beben, "To Be on Top - subsong 2" by Hülsbeck or perhaps "The Tube" or "Street Surfer" by Whittaker, but this is far too conventional scenemusic. When this piece plays, I can imagine a crack intro with a star scroller but not a running track. Out of compo's theme and difficult to grant production bonus :(..

My own song. I started it for this compo, but in retrospective I would say that it is probably too melancholic for jogging or running away. I spent most time fine adjusting the sounds and less on melody and song structure as there was not enough time for both :o)

Brazilian music is fun to run. Rythm is giving the power to run. The lead is really funny and give you tonus but shall also increase ur heartbeat. Nice melo. The modem stuff behind is gloomy. The song is well done. But the link to running world is not enough demonstrated.

OK, this piece at least has some sort of attempt to create a sporty mood. But it is just a short riff which is repeated endlessly without any new chords ever kicking in. I know that running can be monotonous activity but I do not think this should reflected so faithfully in the music. The listener awaits a chord change that never comes. Perhaps this is meant for those who run on a treadmill, scenery being constantly similar. OK, other tracks are monotonous as well, but here the main riff is somewhat melodic so it created expectations. Score: 2.5

I like the retro/minimalistic start! Oops! Piano enters. The beauty of the simplicity is ruined at this stage. Hard to guess this one. silok?

Artist Production Notes:
4
by arrakis
Heartbeat at start is a nice idea. And rythm is clearly given. Suspens of the start is also pleasant. Then it become a bit stress and fit good with a fast run. It gives u power like rage against the machine tuna; klaxoon is a good evocation of city runs: sometimes i felt to be crushed by some cars. Middle part with electrosound is fun. The motor plane must be an hommage to the well known movie when a man fights against a plane into cornfields and try to escape from him (Hitchcok movie with Gary Grant). So this song is so intellectual and full of métaphores about running and its dangers. Maybe it should involve a more positive image of the running. Its a good musician song with good idea.

Sounds level strangely down.

Not the best song I've ever heard.

Intro too long and saw synth playing one sustain note is annoying. The drop needs to be bigger, and needs melody!

Artist Comment: A song I had lying around that I thought I could finish because it suited the theme of the runner comp quite well.

Fits running, but it's a little short and simple and some frequencies just about ripped my ears off. :)

by Jerry
This one is also too short and monotonous for my liking. I do however get a running vibe (probably due to the beat) but the "airplane-crossing-sound" is a bit annoying.

by lemonade
Umh. Don't like the tune, it doesn't have much ideas in it and it's quite short, but it does fit the theme rather nicely.

Nice SIDish sound but as track 8 its quite stressing but more entertaining indeed. But speed u up ! Must listen to it in boucle.

Another nice chip that doesn't seem like a good running tune

Is this made by the same person as track #8? Perhaps instead of making two "not so very good" tunes you could focus on making one better?

Artist Comment: Another song that I had originally made a part of a year or so ago that I wanted to make with a friend, but never got round to working on it with him, so I just finished off a bit of it and uploaded it here.

Way too short and monotone for me. Could have worked as a cut-part in a C64 game where fighting some evil villain.

Ghost's and Goblins, the running dead? There are some great SID sounds in here, and I like that arpeggio effect. But considering this is for Runners-compo, I can only give 3 stars atm :)

Battle squadron starts is nice. Drums sustains the running feet to the hell of a heating debt. U seems tired as u just started the run. A bit stressing. Would better fit to forbidden forest than a run.

To justify myself ranking track #1 a 2/5 i sadly must give this one a 1. It just feels unpolished.
